Creating a delegation policy

What is a delegation policy?

As administrator, by configuring the delegation policy, you can set which role can be delegated to which employee. When no rules have been set, the default rules apply. That means that a role can be delegated to everyone within the team.

An administrator can set a delegation for someone else to everyone within the organisation.

How?

  1. Open the Configuration page from the main menu at the top.
  2. Click on ‘Delegation policies’.
  3. Click on ‘Add rule’.
  4. Choose a suitable name.
  5. Set the desired conditions.
  6. Click on ‘SAVE’.

  2. Click on ‘Delegation policies’.

  3. Click on ‘Add rule’.

  4. Choose a suitable name.
    Choose a clear and unique name for the new rule.

  5. Set the desired conditions.
    You can indicate which role can be delegated to whom. If, for example, you choose ‘Team members’, then it concerns the team members of the role holder whose role is being delegated. If, for example, you choose 'Anyone', then you can determine within which part of the organisational chart a certain role may be delegated. You can add multiple conditions.

  6. Click on ‘SAVE’.

    Once you have saved the first rule, the default rules will be overridden. Do not forget to link the policy in the organisational chart, otherwise nobody can set a delegation.

Linking a delegation policy in the organisational chart

How?

  1. Open the Configuration page from the main menu at the top.
  2. Open the organisational chart via the option in the Organisation block.
  3. Click on the group to which you would like to link the delegation policy.
  4. Click on ‘Add policy’.
  5. Choose the desired policy.
  6. Adjust the start date.
  7. Click on ‘Save’.

  2. Open the organisational chart via the option in the Organisation block.

  3. Click on the group to which you would like to link the delegation policy.
    The rules will apply to all employees that are a member of the group or of the subordinate groups.

  4. Click on ‘Add policy’.

  5. Choose the desired policy.

  6. Adjust the start date. If necessary, an end date can be entered.

  7. Click on ‘Save’.
